Why the F not: Bold, shimmery, glitter eye makeup after 50

We have a whole section called F That. It’s dedicated to ignoring what “they” tell you to do in your older age (or in some cases at any age), and instead do whatever the F you want. Previous topics have included covering your gray hair, dieting and  wearing a bra.

Still, I’m not immune to falling prey at times to societal pressures. I am guilty of, in the past, writing that older women should not wear sparkly or shimmery makeup because it settles in to lines.

Well I’m here to set the record straight, and I know I don’t need to tell you this but F that. Wear whatever shimmery or sparkly makeup you want, no matter your age.
